Doaba (دوآبہ ) literary means “the land between two rivers “Water” and symbolizes the Doaba’s work with flood-prone communities and Doab (دوآب) areas. The Doaba Foundation, working since 1987, is a not-for-profit-organization, registered under the Trusts Act 1882, as a Public Welfare Trust at Islamabad. Doaba established small pilot projects on self-help basis (contribution from trustees and local philanthropists).

Doaba Foundation, true to its name, works to improve the quality of life among rural communities prone to flood disasters. It believes in achieving the goal through optimal utilization of available resources; physical, moral and human.
